RV Travel trailer body construction is specifically designed and built to house people in a traveling living quarter trailer. Horse trailers are specifically built to house and carry horses. In other words, most horse trailer lines are not conducive to housing living quarters at all, and many others are only adequate at best.

At EquiSpirit, we understand that a living quarters horse trailer serves two functions equally — keeping your horses safe on the road, and providing a comfortable, usable living environment.

The Trailer

The quality and investment of your new living quarters is only as good as the horse trailer it's built within.

The EquiSpirit Composite-Built Philosophy

The Right Combination of Today's Technologically Advanced Materials

ROOFS - Most horse trailer roofs are not conducive to housing living quarters. With aluminum and steel, you not only have metals that conduct heat and cold, you have overlapping materials and rivets that have to be caulked against leakage. Here are some examples.

Notice the seams, the overlapping, and rivets that all have to be sealed and caulked - all of which have the potential to leak.

You're EquiSpirit Living Quarter conversion has a roof that is tough, flexible, light weight, and most important, the perfect insulator.

The tough, one piece molded/seamless steel reinforced fiberglass roof, which protects your horses, makes the perfect roof for living quarters. The words "seamless" and "one piece" means that leakage has virtually been eliminated. As you can see, EquiSpirit's one piece roofs are not fastened down with any exterior rivets or bolts. Nor are they pieced together or overlapped. Instead, the tubular steel roof bracing, which act as roll bars, is molded right into the fiberglass, with the entire roof being bolted to the side walls from the inside. Since there are no rivets, seams, overlapping, or exposed steel, there is nothing there to leak.

SIDE WALLS - Most horse trailers have single wall construction. Since the outer wall is the inner wall, the temperature of your inner wall will be the same as the outer wall. This gives you little chance of holding in the heat (or air conditioning), even with the insulation added to the living quarters. And even if an inner wall is added, without insulation it's not much better.

All EquiSpirits have dual wall, insulated construction, much like a house.

The outer aluminum wall handles the weather. The inner galvaneeled (no rust) steel wall gives it strength, and durability. And one inch sheets of Styrofoam insulation, which are wedged throughout the entire trailer, give you the environment needed to maintain good interior climate control.

The result: your new EquiSpirit trailer provides the perfect environment, not only for your horses, but for your quiet comfort in a structure built to last for years to come.
